Old Streets and New Ones
Dacono doesn't look like the rest of our coverage area, and the doors prove it. Across the wider service area, homes were built anywhere from 1938 to 2010, with a median around 1977 - meaning a lot of what we work on elsewhere is 1960s and 70s stock with original hardware. Dacono flips that. The median build year here sits right at 2010, which puts most of this town's garage doors and openers a full generation newer than what we see on the older side of the territory.
That gap matters more than it sounds. A door installed in the 1970s and a door installed in 2010 aren't the same product with different paint. Spring type, track gauge, opener safety features, and insulation standards all shifted in that window. When we get a call from Dacono, we're not walking in expecting the same failure points we'd expect on an older Arvada block. We're expecting a newer torsion setup, a newer opener, and problems that come from different causes - usage and builder-grade parts, not decades of wear on original steel.
